Keren has just joined Shoreshim in 2009 as our Religious School Principal and a Judaics Teacher.  Keren came to Shoreshim from NVHC.

Marge has taught at Shoreshim for 13 years.  She came to Shoreshim after teaching in the public school systems in Pennsylvania, California, Virginia and Maryland.  Marge is married and has three grown children.

This is my forth year teaching Hebrew at Shoreshim and I'm very excited about this opportunity to continue teaching and learning from the wonderful Shoreshim kids. My family and I have been Shoreshim members since 2002, and both my children attended Shoreshim Hebrew School. 

I attended numerous teachers’ training and workshop sessions on various topics, all related to Jewish learning and/or class management. Most were sponsored by the PJLL (Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning). I really enjoyed the Kagan Workshop (The Kagan Structures take little or no special preparation and immediately enhance engagement and learning.) It was a rewarding experience; I learned a lot and am eager to implement their methods. I believe learning has a lot to do with engagement. I plan to engage my students with lots of hands on activities, music, art/craft and movement. 

I have a degree in Applied Art, Communication Design, demonstrated on the T-shirts & tote bags with the Shoreshim logo I designed. My hobbies and interests include photography and Photoshop, playing guitar, creating, painting, hiking, swimming, reading, cooking, and re-upholstering. As a native Israeli Sabra, I bring an extensive Hebrew knowledge, Israeli culture, and a little chutzpah to the classroom. I look forward to teaching your children my native language.
